Gil Hicks, a musician hailing from a family deeply rooted in music, grew up as the youngest among three older brothers, all of whom were talented horn players. With a father who also played the trumpet, Gil's musical journey started with the trumpet itself. However, there came a point where the worlds of trumpet and guitar intertwined, leading Gil to experiment and blend the two instruments, hoping for the best outcome.

Growing up, Gil was surrounded by the sounds of Big Band Swing, Bebop, and the Cool Era. Although these genres weren't initially their personal preference, it wasn't until later years that Gil realized the profound impact and absorption of these musical influences.

As a seasoned performer, Gil has showcased their musical prowess from coast to coast across Canada. Their preferred instruments include the AG Sterling, HardRock, and OldStone Inn guitars, each chosen to create a unique sound and express their artistic vision. Notable achievements in Gill's career include performing for Coca Cola's stage alongside BrassMonkey, as well as captivating audiences at renowned casinos. Moreover, Gil has earned the privilege of having their music played on real radio stations, granting them exposure to a wider audience. Additionally, Gil is actively involved with Northern Tribute Radio Station, contributing to the vibrant music community.

With a rich background in music, a diverse range of influences, and a commitment to their craft, Gil Hicks continues to make his mark as a talented and dedicated musician, leaving an indelible impression on both listeners and fellow artists alike.
